Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

There's nothing more local than the Ojai Farmers Market. The market is only open Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm but allows you to indulge in some of the freshest fruits and vegetables as you stroll and shop.

Once you've made your selection of homemade and homegrown local goods, enjoy a short four-block walk to Bart's Books to find your next paper-based adventure. The used bookstore was built in the bungalow of a home, carefully crafted to use the rooms as part of the aesthetic. For example, if you're hunting for a new cookbook, you'll find a variety in the kitchen.

Take a break from work and daily chores to relax at Chief's Peak Poolside Bar. Located in the heart of the Ojai Rancho Inn, where you can ease your muscles in large soaking tubs, this poolside bar brings you a delectable selection of beer, wines, and music on vinyl.

If you'd like to enjoy a full meal before taking a break for some R&R, head over to The Dutchess on E. Ojai Ave. The restaurant doubles as a cafe and bakery and is extremely well-known for its pastries (get there early on Saturdays). Other menu favorites include naan, organic half-tandoori chicken, and pork belly.

Looking for a restaurant that offers a little something extra? Check out Boccali's Pizza & Pasta. Boccali's first opened its doors in 1986 and currently operates as one of Ojai's tastiest Italian eateries. The restaurant is a family-operated business and includes in-house wines from the Boccali's family vineyard.
